I used one strip on my HVAC controls. If I used 3 it would be brighter but unnecessary for me.One strip was DOA but after checking the polarity it was found to have the wires soldered opposite of the correct tab. If you have any that arrive DOA you can check this and if you have a soldering iron it can easily be fixed be reversing the wiring. Minus one star for quality. The wires are extremely thin and fragile. I may solder on some slightly larger wires and find a way to strengthen the soldered area with some plasti-dip. For the price paid I would buy again.They are almost as advertised. I would describe them as yellow not amber. For my use on the highway they need to have that golden honey amber color. Very bright though. Good adhesion.One of the light strips had faulty LEDs, but they were at the end of the strip and I was able to snip them off easily with a pair of scissors. For the price I wasn't going to complain about three LEDs not working. I ended up using them as turn signals on a 1992 Katana. You can't even see them against the black paint until they light up. The tape on the strips is very strong as well, which is very important. I would recommend these to others.I used two for each side on my motorcgcle. One for running light one for turn signal. Easily cut down. Make sure you cut them after every third light. All in all not worth the price as low as they are.Pros: Plenty bright for turn signals. Flexible enough for curved surfaces.Cons: Wires are way too thin. They are less than 22 guage. Break way too easy. Durability wise they won't last very long. Should be at least 20 gauge. What ever resin they used to cover the strips is tacky. They pick up dirt way too easy and you can't clean them off. With the crappy resin the sun will bake and melt them easy. Now to the adhesive. It's crap. I had the strips warmed up to room temperature and the pieces I put them on. Cleaned the mounting surface with brake cleaner, then a magic eraser, then with alcohol. Applied them the let them sit over night. Still they were coming off while I let it cure inside. Adhesive I doubt is even water proof. I'm sure I will be lucky to have them on after the first ride. Try and stay away from rain.Update 1Jan17: They have already fallen off my hand guards. Wires broke internally on two just from falling off the hand guards. I'm willing to bet the good reviews are fake. No way these things are for anything other than crafts.I cut my fenders on my Jeep Wrangler and I wanted to have some side markers still, but I didn't really like the small button ones that people were recommending to me. I saw this on a Jeep Forum and I knew it's something I really wanted do because of how different it looked!As others said, it's not too bright when the sky is clear, but you can still see it so I have no issue with it.They arrived quickly and are pretty bright. Easy to hook up but they aren't as thin as they look. I was expecting thin tape like ones but they are about half an inch thick. The pictures don't show it very well.Great lights, they have a nice amber color and emit a good amount of light. I only knocked off one start because the wiring that is used is very thin, so it was not as easy to strip. But once they're installed they look great.
